Roses are red
Violets are corny
When I see you
Ohh baby I get horny
Eat me. Beat me. Bite me. Blow me.
Suck me. Fuck me.
Very slowly
If you kiss me
Don't be sassy
Use your tongue and
Make it NASTY!

Camp Manatawny

Favorite Place
My favorite place in the world is Camp Manatawny. I go there every summer; I have since I was a baby. My Pop-Pop helped to found it. The three best parts of Manatawny are Garrett Hall, the part of the creek behind Girl’s Town, and the horse corral.
Life at Camp begins and ends in the same building: Garrett Hall. Garrett Hall is where a lot of activities take place: indoor camp fires, bible classes, Sunday sermons, talent shows, puppet shows, and many other things. The three things I usually associate with Garrett Hall, however, are the singing, arts & crafts, and the get-to-know-you games at the beginning of the camp week. The upstairs floor of Garrett Hall is where everyone sings, if it’s for Sunday morning service or for camp fire. Hearing my favorite songs sung acapella by so many great voices in my favorite place in the world (and in a room with astounding acoustics, no less!) is the greatest thing in the world. I don’t think I can recall any week in my life I haven’t cried at least once. It’s simply breathtaking to be surrounded by so many loving members of God’s family, and such good friends. These friends are also sometimes made in that same room. At the beginning of most weeks, games will be played so that the campers can get to know each other. They’re usually the silliest games once can think of; they are very fun. The basement has an arts & crafts room with the best supplies ever. I’ve always been very craftsy, so it’s one of the best parts of Garrett Hall.
I feel very close to God and in touch with nature when I’m at Camp. The most beautiful and peaceful part is the creek behind Girl’s Town. The first part you see is the rocks next to the creek; they’re perfect for basking in the warm sunlight. The creek comes down from one main stream, and another small one that at only flows when rain is very heavy, at which times the larger creek is replete. The smaller creek has a section of a small dock that has drifted downstream, about ten feet long and five feet wide, lying across it. At one point, this bridge lay across at an odd angle, further upstream than it is now. My friend David and I were the ones who changed its position. It was one day the tide was flowing well. Wanting badly to swim that day, David and I snuck off to the creek during free time for a bit. We saw the portion of the bridge, an oddity to the normally bare stream, and decided to see if we could move it. No logical motive led us to do this; we were bored and easily entertained. We struggled to move it, but worked with the unnaturally high water flow as best we could. It was a fun project, and we did manage to move it. That’s a very fond memory; David was an exceedingly nice friend. Another part of the creek we had fun on was the rapids coming from upstream, which are fun to ride down, either in a tube or on your bottom. These rapids are another very fun part of the creek.
A second amazing part of Camp Manatawny is the horse corral. I love being around the horses; they’re my favorite animals. Simply gazing at them can be enough for me. Riding the majestic creatures, however, is far better than being a spectator. Feeling the strong body of the animal work under you as it walks or runs with you atop it is an awesome feeling. Relaxation can be just as good. Brushing the horses—just being near them and taking care of them—is very peaceful and it’s wonderfully salutary.
For all these reasons and more, Camp Manatawny is the best place in the world and my favorite. I hate to leave that place and love to return to it. I grew up there; it’s always been my haven. When asked where my favorite place is, there is no question about it—Camp Manatawny.

this was an assignment for school. we had to write a composition about our favorite place, and this place is it. i was pretty pleased with how it turned out, so i wanted to put it on here. just for fun :] hope it's appreciated...
